Ventures

Design Climate selects ventures and verticals for the program based upon a matrix of considerations. Ventures must show promise for commercialization given the expertise and resources available at Duke University. They must also have strong potential for positive environmental and social impacts. Our selected verticals for 2025-2026 are the blue economy, geothermal energy, energy transition, climate AI, climate & health, and materials science.
