Congratulations to Duke Design Climate alum company ReefCycle for winning a place in The New York Climate Exchange‘s inaugural Climate Tech Fellowship.

Last year, our students collaborated with Laura E. Dalton, Ph.D., to investigate and scale ReefCycle’s unique approach to low-carbon cement production (pictured: Design Climate graduates Gabriel Sandoval, Angeline Yang, and Haoyue (Nora) Zhang with Laura and ReefCycle founders Shannon Parker and Mary Lempres).

Congrats to the entire cohort of Climate Exchange winners, including Stephanie Taboada, Ph.D. Charlie Mydlarz, Fares Al-lahabi, Mauricio Hernández, Patricia Stathatou, Christos E. Athanasiou, and more. This fellowship is a six-month program that addresses the critical gap that early-stage innovators face as they transition from lab to the real world.

Thanks to Megha Mehdiratta, Shaina Horowitz, and the team at The New York Climate Exchange for spearheading this program. Learn more here: https://www.nyclimateexchange.org/climate-tech-fellowship
